Before you start, you need to download Suside. This is easy to achieve by going to the website, going to the GitHub releases page or downloading the snap (Linux only).
Go to the Suside website then click Download button. If you are on Linux, it will automatically prompt you to download the AppImage. AppImages are a Linux package format that can be installed in any distro, but it needs to be ran once, with a very irritating command. For those of Linux users who aren't familiar with the terminal yet, it needs to be typed sudo chmod a+x ./example.AppImage
which is irritating to type every time you want to run the AppImage itself. You can also download the AppImage of Suside and to fix that typing problem, you can right the AppImage and click Properties. In the Properties window, click the Permissions tab. In the Permissions tab, check the box Allow executing file as program. This can result in a working AppImage can be ran anytime. Suside can also have .deb and .rpm formats. Simply go to the download section of the website.
Click your desired platform to download.
IMPORTANT! Note that Gentoo version of Suside is not available. Install Suside by using third-party installers available for Gentoo
After you download, install the .deb, .rpm, .exe, etc. You will learn the Suside GUI and tutorials in the next chapter.
